Following the dismissal of several hundred FAA employees, Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency is scheduled to visit the Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control Command Center in Virginia on Monday.

As Elon Musk's DOGE continues to target federal agencies like the Social Security Administration and Internal Revenue Service, the world's richest man has now set his sights on U.S. gold reserves at Fort Knox.
In recent days, Musk repeatedly posted about wanting to "make sure" the gold is still at the United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox, Kentucky, which holds approximately 147.3 million ounces of gold, according to the U.S. Mint.
Musk said on X, "This gold is the property of the American people," raising questions over whether the gold is still at Fort Knox. I sincerely hope it remains.

The facility was visited by former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in 2017, during the first term of President Donald Trump. In 1974, a legislative delegation and journalists were the last to access the vault. The Treasury Secretary permits the inspection when there are persistent rumors that all of the gold has been taken out of the vaults, according to the U.S. Mint website.
