"On Saturday, protests against Trump erupted across various cities in the United States, including the nation's capital, Washington D.C. Thousands of protesters took to the streets, with nearly 1,200 separate points hosting demonstrations. This protest is being considered the largest single-day demonstration against President Donald Trump and his billionaire associate Elon Musk's government reforms and the expansion of presidential power.

Despite cloudy skies and light rain in the morning, people began gathering in the green area around the Washington Monument. Organizers had expected over 20,000 people to gather for the event on the National Mall. A total of 150 activist groups had registered to participate in the protest, which took place in all 50 states of the U.S., as well as in Canada and Mexico.

Terry Klein, a retired biomedical scientist from Princeton, New Jersey, said, 'I am here to protest everything from immigration policies to Trump’s new tariff policies and cuts in education funding. America’s institutions, our identity, everything is under attack.'

At the rally, many people carried Ukrainian flags, while others wore Palestinian keffiyehs (scarves) and carried banners that read 'Free Palestine.' Members of the Democratic Party also attended the rally and took the stage to criticize Trump’s policies.

Wayne Hoffman, a 73-year-old retired money manager from West Cape May, New Jersey, said, 'Trump’s economic policies will harm farmers, cause people to lose jobs, and drastically reduce their retirement savings (401K). Many have already lost thousands of dollars.'

Meanwhile, Kyle (last name unknown), a 20-year-old intern from Ohio, was the only Trump supporter at the protest, wearing a 'Make America Great Again' cap. He walked around the protest site, engaging in debates with the attendees. He said, 'Most people aren't that hostile, although some do shout insults.'

While the protests were happening in Washington, Trump was playing golf at his Jupiter Golf Club in Florida, and later returned to Mar-a-Lago in the afternoon. More than 400 people participated in a protest in West Palm Beach, just four miles away from Mar-a-Lago. Pedestrians and drivers honked their horns in support of the protesters. One sign read, 'The market crashes, and Trump plays golf.'

Several hours before the Washington protests began, hundreds of Americans living in Europe gathered in Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, and London to protest against Trump's domestic and foreign policies."
